Sue Miller for Islamorada Village Council

Sue Miller has spent most of her adult life in the Florida Keys. After a career as a computer analyst with Eastern Airlines, she and her husband, Jay, moved to the Keys, raised their two sons, and built a small real estate business.

Sue has spent decades serving and advocating for the community she loves. She has served on County and Village committees, led the Lower Matecumbe Key Association, and continues to keep residents informed through her work with the Islamorada Community Alliance.

A longtime community watchdog, Sue rarely misses a Village Council meeting. She believes Islamorada needs thoughtful leadership that puts residents first—protecting our environment, making responsible decisions about growth and spending, and keeping our community livable for the people who call it home.

Now, Sue is running for Islamorada Village Council because she believes the community she has called home for most of her life is worth protecting.

She believes Islamorada can have a strong local economy and vibrant community while still protecting the environment, respecting property rights, addressing the high cost of living and making responsible decisions about growth and development.

Sue isn't running to change what makes Islamorada special. She's running to help make sure we don't lose it.

Sue’s Priorities.

RESPONSIBLE GOVERNMENT & A STRONGER BUDGET:

We need to get our spending under control.

Islamorada needs a government that is careful with every taxpayer dollar. That means greater accountability, stronger oversight and making sure we are getting real value for the money we spend.

If we want a healthy, thriving community, we have to make sure the people who work here can afford to live here.

PROTECTING OUR ENVIRONMENT:

Our environment is our greatest asset—and our greatest responsibility.

Our waters, mangroves, reefs and natural areas aren't just beautiful. They support our economy, define our quality of life and help protect our community from storms and rising seas.

Growth and development should never come at the expense of the natural environment that makes Islamorada special.

Growth should serve the community—not change it beyond recognition.

Islamorada faces real challenges: housing, traffic, development pressure and the demands placed on our infrastructure and environment.

We can grow without losing what makes Islamorada special.

RESPONSIBLE GROWTH:

A GOVERNMENT THAT LISTENS:

Residents deserve a voice—and they deserve to know that their voice matters.

Local government works best when residents are informed, involved and heard.

I will listen to residents—not just during an election, but throughout my time on Council.

Government should work for the people who live here.
